I miss this too actually. Even having it dispelled consumes enemy's mana.

What I would actually like though is to see widow's venom a bit stronger. Aimed use to apply a 50% healing debuff and while that is a bit op 10% isn't really worth the time to think about it.
msromang, try a couple 45 minute arena battles and tell me viper sting wouldn't have been helpful to have.
Apparently to blizz, the only good use that viper sting had was restoring mana to the hunter, therefore, viper sting is removed and mana burn stays >.>
Yeah viper sting in pvp and had a few uses in pve as well... like the lady deathwhisper mana shield. They should have just changed it to converting the mana to focus or something, not remove it altogether.
