How much spell pen. and hit rating for BM?

[:1]As a BM hunter how much spell penetration and hit rating should i have? And what is BM stat prioritys?

Thanks, Shootstuff.

200-240 spell pen
5% hit
yea, try to get 200-240 spell pen and hit your hit cap. And for stat priorities i would say mastery>crit>haste
There are three ways to approach spell pen.

#1: Ignore it. This is a bad idea for PvP, and the best option for PvE, since bosses no longer have spell resistance (or if they do, it's reduced to 0 from a Curse of Elements).

#2: Get 195 Spell pen. This covers Paladins' resistance aura and a Priest's Shadow Protection, and provides more than enough pen to get through Mark of the Wild.

#3: Get 239 Spell pen. This covers everything #2 does, plus removes the possibility of partial resists from Mages who are using Mage Armor (the +44 to all resistances from Mage Armor stacks with other resistance bonuses).

For stat priorities (assuming PvP) I'd get hit capped (5%, going slightly over is fine and better than being slightly under cap), gem for agility, crit (from reforging), and resilience (only gem agi/resilience if the socket bonus is worth it, ie, you gain as much or more agility from the socket bonus as you lose from using a non-40 agility gem).
Crit>hit>Haste
Until you are over 5% hit.
Then it is Crit > Haste >
Spell pen, I think you can almost ignore it and be fine.
PVP I do see some point, but not enough to say you have to do it.
For BM hunters anyway.
PVE there is no point for spell pen.
Regardless what anyone tells you, reforge all your mastery to crit, minor amount of pet damage increase for pvp is useless and pve it seems to make slightly more sense but again stacking mastery is fail in my opinion.
When you get into the 360+ gear wise, your Kill Command can crit with a dps pet, between 25-40k.
Arcane shot, and cobra shot Criting more is vastly more important that a little extra pet damage.
So get your hit into the 500's, then reforge all mastery to crit.
You will still have enough points over for mastery of beasts, yet you will be building up stats more important.
The person who says Mastery is the primary stat, has never done DPS tests, stacking crit, haste and mastery.
I did all the tests, because honestly there were so many different opinions I didn't know what to do really.
I do 15-16 k DPS without Raid gear.
Crit is more important than mastery.
