Which hunter spec is better AoE dps currently
[:1]I was just wondering if MM or SV was better AoE at 378ish gear levels, i used to think it was SV but someone recently said that if the MM is specced into bombardment or whatever then MM is better AoE.
Is there anyone who knows for sure? And possibly a link to a thread or article talking about it?
The adds in firelands have low health and proc rapid killing, refunding 50 focus for each add that drops, letting you spam multi shot without regards to your focus pool.
This is what makes MM AoE stronger than Surv.
The strength of survival AoE comes from serpent spread but suffers from focus starving.
MM AoE in FL is stronger.

Reset pet talents

Pet trainers right next to your Hunter trainer
Not sure where it is for Alliance, but in Orgrimmar there is a pet trainer next to the Hunter trainer. So check your capital cities.
Keep in mind that resetting your pets' talents is also free and stays that way, so if you're uncomfortable with a certain spec feel free to change it.
In Stormwind, the pet trainer is inside the wooden building next to the stables.

Two cents on what hunters should have

I think this would help them greatly.
I enjoy fighting hunters and after reading a lot of topics about the deadzone problem I think helping them gain distance with lower CDs on those two above abilities would solve some problems.

Haste to Account for Latency
[:1]So, I haven't really seen any info on this particular tidbit of common knowledge regarding Haste Plateaus, so I was wondering if anyone had any real 'method' of determining how much extra Haste you need to account for any given amount of Latency.
I usually go 10-20 rating over a cap, and usually have 150-250ms latency, any particular methodology I should follow based around that level of latency?

Get a shaman/frost DK buddy to sit with you a few minutes on a target dummy to figure it out.

That actually makes me die a bit inside.
I have ~55 ms latency, and just doing a bit of math to fit my steadies into a 10, I need 371 haste rating over the cap to cover merely 0.18 seconds every 10 seconds.
I really hope I can siphon that from crit pieces so I won't feel as bad about reforge out of potential crit >.<
I can only imagine how horrendous it is with someone dealing with 300 latency. It takes more haste to reduce 0.01 seconds the higher the plateau is...
Well, you need to understand that that's for a mathematically significant situation in a spreadsheet.
In most fights, you won't be operating at 100% efficiency, nor will you not get FPS/Connection lag.
The difference between 10 and 10.1 is mathematically significant. In real situation testing? Mostly negligible.

BM help please
[:1]I am currently a MM hunter and do decent dps. I just use bm to get the exotic pets, got Ban'tholis and Death'talic today. Had help to get the purple spider as I have no dps in BM.
Can someone help as it seemed I was only doing about 6-7k dps while trying to bring his hp down before the tame process.
I have no idea what to do as bm and would appreciate some help and no nerd rage plz.
As mm i pull anywhere from 12-19k dps in heroics but don't dare to go in a bm as dps is way low.
Any help is much appreciated. I just copied the spec from another hunter as well as glyphs so advise if they need changing pls.

That's your priority order IN order.
The general rotation is to do 3x Cobra 1x Arc 1x Kill in a 7 second block. So just maintain that when you can. If one of your cooldowns are up, it takes top priority. Pool Focus to be near cap for Bestial Wrath. Never Rapid Fire before or during Bestial Wrath. Don't Focus Fire 10 seconds before Bestial Wrath before or during. Kill Shot as your top priority attack in execute range.
For the rotation, bullet hit right on.
Use bestial wrath every time possible and when pet can be on target. Use it when near full focus and Kill command is off cooldown. In the phase use arcane when kill command is on cooldown. After, use rapid fire and fervor. Don't use any of those during bestial wrath.
Kill command, arcane, cobra, cobra is the general rotation, but as you gain more haste you can fit more cobra shots in.
